Once you are running ads you need to test different types of creatives. Most people interact more with images, Instagram has shown that videos always outperform images. Using ad set level in ad manager, you can have more than one creative (videos, images, or gif), whereby your audience will view all creative and content that interact best with them. when running sponsored ads.
#3. Use of Right Orientation
There are several placements when running ads e.g Instagram stories, feed & explore. The dimension (image/video) tends to be different on several ad placements, so most times we need to check how our creative/content looks on different ad placements. It’s necessary to use the right video/image orientation for different ad placements so it looks natural and easy for people to engage with.

Instagram adds learn to an ads campaign, it takes a while for it to run before meeting your audiences. Most times when we start a campaign because we are not seeing the immediate results we tend to turn off the ads, it takes time for the ads to learn, give it time to run a minimum of 3-4 days.

Over the years the use of Instagram has grown with increased engagement and traffic. Running ads to grow your followers is essential but knowing your niche is important for Instagram growth. When you are running ads it should be for a Call to Action not specifically to grow your page but to get engagement, making sales, or building an email list.

Most people put up an ad campaign without testing it on different content and audience targets. You need to test a whole lot of content from videos to images and target different audiences.

When running ads we tend to make mistakes in targeting the wrong age, gender, and demograph for that particular ad content. Target who should be seeing the ads.
